Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable multi-cloud systems that integrate on-premises KVM environments with major public cloud providers. This role focuses on engineering excellence in hybrid cloud deployments through the HPE Morpheus Enterprise platform, ensuring high availability, automation, and technical consistency across complex infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy resilient multi-cloud solutions that connect private KVM-based stacks with AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks to accelerate engineering workflows and improve system reliability.
- Serve as the top-tier technical resource for resolving advanced issues related to Morpheus/VME and the HVM hypervisor stack on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
- Create reusable infrastructure automation assets using Ansible and Terraform to standardize deployments across diverse environments.
- Support internal build and QA systems to maintain stable development conditions, without day-to-day operational ownership.
- Document architectural patterns, operational playbooks, and technical standards aligned with cloud-native principles.
- Guide junior engineers in DevOps best practices and contribute technical insights during strategic planning sessions.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering with a focus on automation and distributed systems.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in technical roles involving infrastructure design.
- Proven skill in DevOps methodologies, including containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, automated testing, and release orchestration.
- Deep technical knowledge of KVM virtualization and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS system administration.
- Strong experience with multi-cloud management platforms such as Morpheus and infrastructure orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid network configurations.
- Working knowledge of enterprise storage and clustering technologies including Ceph, gfs2, Pacemaker, and Corosync.
- Advanced scripting ability in Python, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible for end-to-end infrastructure automation.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for both leadership and engineering teams.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position, allowing professionals to work from their preferred location. The role supports flexible scheduling to accommodate personal and professional balance while contributing to mission-critical cloud initiatives.
