Responsibilities
- Drive Data Strategy at Company Scale: Define and lead Webflow’s long-term data strategy, ensuring that insights, experimentation, and measurement frameworks that meaningfully influence company-wide priorities and executive decision-making.
- Architect Data-Informed Product Direction: Partner with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and User Research to identify and prioritize opportunities where data can unlock step-function improvements in user experience, growth, and business outcomes.
- Evolve Metrics and Measurement Systems: Establish, standardize, and continuously refine product and business metrics that represent Webflow’s success — ensuring they reflect a deep understanding of customer behavior and long-term value creation.
- Advance Experimentation and Causal Inference Practices: Lead Webflow’s experimentation strategy by mentoring teams on sophisticated experimental design, causal inference, and Bayesian modeling approaches. Set best-in-class standards for measuring product impact and scaling learnings across the organization.
- Mentor and Grow Data Talent: Serve as a technical and strategic mentor to Data Scientists across levels. Provide guidance on analytical rigor, experimentation design, storytelling with data, and career development. Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence across the broader Data organization.
- Build the Next Generation of Data Infrastructure: Collaborate with Data Engineering and platform teams to strengthen Webflow’s data foundations — ensuring scalable, high-quality systems that provide a holistic view of the customer journey and business performance.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in a Data Science (or similar) position
- Experience in mentoring and developing the technical skills of your team members, helping to build a collaborative data science practice
- Experience working as a Data Scientist (or the equivalent in quantitative analysis), contributing to the strategic roadmap, providing high quality, reproducible analysis that impacts company strategy and decision making, building tools to enable scalable processes and enabling others to do the same
- Expertise in applied statistics (e.g. predictive modeling, hypothesis testing, regressions), segmentation and experimentation (e.g. A/B testing) in an industry setting and the ability to explain concepts to technical and non-technical team members
- Proficiency in SQL, and experience with a programming language like Python or R
