Standard Bots is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help architect the future of robotics through best-in-class, modern software engineering. You will work with engineers, leaders, and users to advance products that directly impact our users and unlock new potential.
What You'll Do
- Identify, scope, and drive high-impact technical and user-facing projects
- Advise leadership on technical decisions and strategy
- Mentor and advise other engineers as well as peers on technical and personal advancement
- Drive technical decision-making and implementation through hands-on and technically deep work

- A strong technical background, including 5-10 years of experience working in complex environments
- Excitement for new domains and challenges, and eagerness to pick up new context to accelerate your impact
- Excellence in written and verbal communication and enjoyment in leveraging your skills to support your peers
- A relentless focus on user impact and a preference for value execution over technical idealism
- A prioritization of simplicity, reliability, and velocity and proactive identification of opportunities to improve proposed or incumbent systems

Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based in Seattle. Our culture is self-driven, optimistic, creative, and resourceful. We are excited by the robotics domain and are open to a work mix of approximately 70% back-end and 30% front-end work with flexibility.
