Shape the future of mobile development for a platform that powers thousands of branded apps in the restaurant space. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Guest App team, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end mobile infrastructure, focusing on scalability, reliability, and developer efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Streamline the mobile development lifecycle—from local setup to continuous integration and deployment—enabling teams across the organization to ship confidently
- Design and implement automation tools and safety checks that support safe, synchronized updates across a vast network of apps
- Enhance release stability and app update frequency for both Apple App Store and Google Play
- Build robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues quickly
- Integrate AI-driven solutions to optimize and scale release workflows
- Collaborate closely with internal launch teams—refining their processes and incorporating real-time feedback
- Contribute directly to the Guest App codebase when platform and product needs align
- Lead key technical initiatives from concept through deployment, ensuring cross-team alignment
- Support team growth through code reviews, mentorship, and thoughtful technical guidance
- Help recruit and onboard new engineers, contributing to a culture of excellence and collaboration
What We’re Looking For
- At least four years of experience shipping production-grade mobile or full-stack applications, with direct ownership of release cycles
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and mobile application development
- Proven track record managing app distribution via Apple App Store and/or Google Play, including build pipelines, versioning, and compliance
- Experience improving CI/CD systems and automating complex release workflows
- Ability to troubleshoot opaque issues in external platforms and navigate certificate, provisioning, and review challenges
- Background in startups, scale-ups, or tech-first organizations focused on product innovation
- Strong interpersonal skills with a history of effective collaboration across engineering, product, and design
- Self-driven mindset with a focus on solving ambiguous, cross-functional problems
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with React Native is highly valued

Work Environment
This is a fully remote role, open to candidates in the United States and Canada. While we’re remote-first, San Francisco-based team members have the option to collaborate in person at our HQ in the Presidio.

- Salary range: $190,000 – $220,000
