Join a growing Security Engineering team focused on Identity Threat Detection & Response (ITDR). In this role, you'll design and implement high-performance, distributed systems that analyze risk signals in real time and enable rapid incident response. You'll work across the full lifecycle of service development—from architecture to production ownership—ensuring systems are resilient, scalable, and deeply informative for security operations.
What You'll Do
- Design and lead the implementation of new microservices in Go, focusing on both system-level architecture and detailed code quality
- Process high-volume event streams from Kafka and build low-latency decisioning pipelines using tools like Apache Flink or Spark Streaming
- Develop modular, reusable components that support automated threat response and provide rich context for security investigations
- Define and maintain data models across relational (Postgres) and NoSQL (Redis, DynamoDB) databases to support real-time querying and analysis
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering to establish clear data contracts and ensure consistency across services
- Support machine learning initiatives by building reliable pipelines that operationalize models in production environments
- Own services in production—define SLIs/SLOs, optimize database performance, and ensure high availability through AWS infrastructure (Lambda, ECS/EKS)
- Work closely with Product Management to influence roadmap planning and technical direction for identity security capabilities
What We're Looking For
- At least 8 years of backend development experience, with deep expertise in Go, including concurrency, memory management, and scalable service design
- Proven track record building event-driven systems using Kafka, Kinesis, or SQS
- Hands-on experience with stream processing frameworks such as Apache Flink or Spark Streaming
- Solid understanding of both relational and NoSQL data modeling
- Strong AWS proficiency, particularly Lambda, ECS/EKS, and infrastructure automation via Terraform
Nice to Have
- Interest in MLOps and experience deploying or serving machine learning models
- Familiarity with security operations workflows, including triage, false positive reduction, and incident context enrichment
- Knowledge of authentication protocols like OAuth, OIDC, or SAML
- Experience integrating external threat intelligence sources such as GeoIP or IP reputation databases
