Dandy is hiring a Senior Software Engineer I, Infrastructure in Mexico to join our Platform team. You will build tools and infrastructure to boost developer productivity and happiness, evolving our CI/CD platforms, designing cloud infrastructure, and managing container orchestration to empower engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Evolve CI/CD platforms with a focus on infrastructure automation and security to provide faster, more reliable, and secure deployment pipelines.
- Design, build, and maintain core cloud infrastructure on our primary cloud provider (GCP).
- Develop and manage the container orchestration platform (Kubernetes) to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.
- Autonomously lead well-defined, multi-month infrastructure projects ensuring the stability and performance of production environments.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to understand their infrastructure needs, providing guidance and building solutions.
- Champion and implement best practices for cloud security and system reliability across the organization.
- Contribute to the team's roadmap and strategy by identifying opportunities for high-impact improvements.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a demonstrated focus on backend, infrastructure, or SRE.
- Deep, hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Deep, hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD systems (e.g., BuildKite, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and how they relate to infrastructure deployment.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Go, Python, Bash).
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for building reliable and scalable systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience building internal developer platforms or portals.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms (e.g., Chronosphere, Prometheus, Grafana).
