About the Role
The engineer will lead development efforts, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure delivery of reliable, maintainable code within an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services and APIs to support healthcare applications
- Collaborate with product and design teams to understand user needs
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly
- Optimize application performance and scalability
- Implement security best practices across systems
- Work with data models to support clinical and operational workflows
- Integrate with third-party healthcare platforms and services
- Support deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Contribute to technical documentation and system diagrams
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
- Evaluate new technologies for potential adoption
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations
- Participate in incident response and on-call rotations
- Drive improvements in development tooling and processes
- Collaborate across disciplines to refine product requirements
- Monitor system health and proactively address risks
- Support integration testing and validation efforts
- Maintain focus on user experience and system reliability
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical field
- Experience in healthcare or regulated industries
- Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy standards
- Background in full-stack development
- Experience with frontend frameworks
- Familiarity with GraphQL
- Involvement in open-source projects
