Flock Safety is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Front End to join its Aviation team focused on Drone as First Responder (DFR) solutions. You will design, build, and maintain the front-end user interfaces for next-generation software and hardware products, translating designs into efficient, scalable code.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable front-end code using TypeScript, Next.js, and ReactJS.
Translate UI/UX designs into technically feasible, user-friendly interfaces.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure best practices.
Gain access to repositories, design systems, and CI/CD pipelines and set up your local environment.
Participate in team ceremonies like stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Meet with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to understand workflows.
Develop new UI components or pages, ensuring responsiveness and performance.
Implement global state management solutions like Redux.
Optimize API calls and application performance using Next.js tools.
Contribute to frontend documentation and improve design system components.
Provide feedback on UI/UX designs and suggest improvements.
Refactor legacy components to modern React patterns and enhance code reusability.
Implement TypeScript best practices and improve accessibility compliance.
Propose improvements for CI/CD processes and research new frontend tools or libraries.
Work with product and design to shape better user experiences and lead knowledge-sharing sessions.
Set goals for the next 6 months, such as migration plans or design system improvements.

What We're Looking For

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Frontend Developer.
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
Experience with front-end development tools such as Webpack and NPM.
Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Ability to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable front-end code using TypeScript, Next.js, and ReactJS.
