Deckers Brands is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for our Exposure team. In this role, you will execute high-impact projects and build at significant scale, focusing on cloud-native data ingest, aggregation, and scalable API services to help modernize our tech stack.
What You'll Do
- Build cloud-native data ingest and aggregation processes that intake gigabytes of data per day.
- Add features to our product suite that detect activities for market manipulation, fraud, behavioral patterning, and more.
- Build and improve batch-based applications as well as streaming pipelines.
- Build scalable API services on AWS that handle 1,000’s of requests per second.
- Help the team modernize our stack to operate at 10x current capacity.
- Debug production issues across multiple systems and microservices.
What We're Looking For
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-native, microservices-based distributed systems in a major cloud provider like AWS or GCP.
- A bias to ship and iterate alongside product management and design partners.
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages.
- A strong technical background with extensive experience working directly on backend systems and projects.
- You take pride in materializing product ideas into production.
- Exposure to or interest in the cryptocurrency technology ecosystem.
- A genuine excitement for significantly scaling large data systems.
Nice to Have
- Experience mentoring other engineers, leading cross-team projects, and driving design and technology decisions.
- Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes.
