Elastic, The Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Docs Engineering Team. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting the documentation platform, tooling, and pipelines that power the Elastic ecosystem, ensuring a world-class developer experience at scale.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and support software that bridges the gap between content creation and high-scale delivery
- Work in a multi-language environment across a range of technologies, including C#/.NET
- Leverage AI-assisted coding and emerging tools to improve engineering efficiency and automation
- Work alongside the Product Team and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable deployment patterns and processes
- Maintain a relentless focus on usability to ensure world-class developer experience on documentation platforms
- Help lead the effort in redefining how technical documentation is authored and delivered
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in building, releasing, supporting, and maintaining software products for a broad user base
- Minimum of 8 years of recent software engineering experience
- Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including C#
- Comfortable with AI-assisted coding and integrating these tools into the modern development lifecycle
- Deep understanding of industry best practices, complex architectures, and nuances of distributed systems
- Strong focus on usability and developer experience
- Genuine interest in technology
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think clearly, work independently, and collaborate effectively across a remote, global team
