Shape the foundation of scalable systems as a Senior Software Engineer focused on Core Services Site Reliability Engineering. You'll design, maintain, and optimize the infrastructure and tooling that power critical backend services across the organization. Your work will directly influence system reliability, deployment efficiency, and long-term maintainability.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage shared infrastructure platforms, libraries, and automation tools used by engineering teams across the company
- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud environments using infrastructure-as-code practices, primarily on AWS
- Lead technical direction for core services, supporting teams in building resilient, observable, and performant systems
- Drive cross-team initiatives that improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency across the backend ecosystem
- Define and promote evolving SRE standards, documentation, and operational best practices
- Review new technologies and system designs through a security and scalability lens before deployment
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years in backend, cloud, or infrastructure engineering roles
- Proven experience with AWS and managing production cloud environments at scale
- Strong coding ability in Go or similar languages, with expertise in system design and scripting
- Deep familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Solid understanding of application and network security principles
- Experience configuring and managing complex, distributed systems
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with technologies including Vault, Consul, Nomad, Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Redis, or Aerospike
- Background in database administration or high-performance data systems
- Familiarity with modern deployment pipelines and configuration management tools
