Unison Consulting Pte Ltd is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Core Applications to develop and deliver engineering solutions for Products Sales, Customer acquisition, and Servicing platforms, including Core Applications like Life Asia, CCM Solutions, Underwriting Engines, Workflow, and Middleware Integration. This role is central to leading technical delivery and contributing to the overall Policy Admin System architecture.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver engineering deliverables for Products Sales, Customer acquisition, and Servicing solutions.
- Work closely with Business Product Owners, Tech-Delivery-Leads, and other technical team members to define technical designs for Product Launches, post-launch features, enhancements, and new projects.
- Provide technical solutions to meet demand and guide junior IT members.
- Partner with business product owners to drive Product & Proposition target or Customer Service deliverables.
- Lead the technical delivery of assigned tasks and projects.
- Build relationships with Delivery leads, other Engineering team members, and business users across the organization.
- Contribute to the overall Policy Admin System architecture and design, providing best practice guidance and patterns.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest updates and developments in the Insurance and Financial Industries.
- Be task-driven and control/commit to agreed timelines.
What We're Looking For
- Deep understanding of Life Policy admin features and functionalities.
- 8+ years of experience in the Insurance or Financial Industry.
- A minimum of 5 years supporting Core Policy Admin systems such as LifeAsia, Life 400, or Integral Life.
- Knowledge of surrounding applications like underwriting engines, Front end / mobile applications, and workflow.
- Good experience in omnichannel Integration.
- Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
- Knowledge of integrating with other surrounding applications around the core application, such as Sales Portals, Workflow, and underwriting engines.
- Solution-oriented and pragmatic mindset paired with strong communication skills.
- Very good conceptual and analytical skills and a high motivation to define process automation.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile / Iterative delivery methodology.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields.
Nice to Have
- Experience in application integration middleware (e.g., MuleSoft) is an advantage.
- Professional Certification(s) such as CRM, CCM, Cloud, or Agile certification.
