Responsibilities
- Architect and implement core components of a banking integration system
- Ensure data consistency and reliability across financial transactions
- Collaborate with product and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements
- Optimize system performance and reduce latency in critical paths
- Write clean, testable code with strong observability
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly
- Design APIs for internal and external financial service integrations
- Improve platform security and data protection practices
- Participate in code reviews and system design discussions
- Support the deployment and monitoring of distributed systems
- Maintain uptime and reliability of integration endpoints
- Work with third-party banking APIs and documentation
- Implement error handling and retry logic for financial operations
- Contribute to incident response and post-mortem analysis
- Evaluate new technologies for financial data processing
- Ensure compliance with financial industry standards
- Scale backend systems to handle growing transaction volume
- Document technical designs and integration patterns
- Mentor engineers working on financial services
- Drive best practices in testing and deployment
Nice to Have
- Experience with banking or payments infrastructure
- Familiarity with OFX, ISO 20022, or similar financial standards
- Hands-on work with third-party financial APIs
