Lucidworks is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to develop and scale our core platform services. You will work as part of a global engineering team to build robust, high-performance systems that power our search and AI applications.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Collaborate with distributed teams to define system architecture and technical direction
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code
- Diagnose and resolve complex performance and scalability challenges
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development
- Proven ability to design, build, and operate distributed systems
- Strong proficiency in at least one JVM language (Java or Scala)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in a remote, global team
Work Mode
This is a global, remote position. Candidates must be based in Mexico City, Peru, Jamaica, or Brazil.
