Publix Super Markets, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Labor Management team. In this role, you will be the product champion, designing, building, and delivering a robust application that supports Publix business areas in managing labor activities like forecasting, time attendance, and scheduling. You will lead the technical strategy to create a highly available, resilient, and scalable solution.
What You'll Do
- Develop and modify applications using C#.NET based on technical designs and backlog items.
- Create user stories and refine backlog items to deliver features that enhance user experience for store associates.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues by analyzing code, designing, coding, and testing solutions.
- Serve as Single Point Owner (SPO) for multiple projects, ensuring adherence to Publix Technology development standards.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance technology solutions.
- Prepare and maintain technical and user documentation for new and existing programs.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in application design, development, and delivery in an enterprise environment.
- 3+ years of experience leveraging .NET Framework 4.5/5.0, .NET Core, C#.NET, ASP.NET MVC and object-oriented design.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL Server or similar relational databases.
- 3+ years of experience in designing enterprise solutions using object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
- 2+ years of experience developing modern frontend React.js frameworks integrated with backend APIs.
- Leadership experience in driving a team’s work in an agile scrum environment as a subject matter expert, product owner, business analyst, or similar position.
- Experience in reviewing and approving design of complex technical solutions working with architects and other company resources.
- Strong knowledge of architecture and design of solutions in an Azure environment to solve business problems.
Nice to Have
- 6+ years’ experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
- 6+ years’ experience with Agile and Scrum Development methodologies.
- 3+ years of experience in implementing enterprise applications using platform services like Azure App service, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, Databricks, notification hubs, event hubs, Microservices, stream analytics, Cosmos DB, Redis Cache, OpenAPI, IoT Hub, application insights, etc.
- 3+ years’ experience using Xamarin, Xamarin Forms, or MAUI.
- Familiarity with mobile development and deployment of Android and Apple applications.
- Experience with event-based messaging platforms like Kafka or MQTT.
- Experience with Kubernetes (K3), Docker, or other containerization technologies.
- Experience planning, organizing, and managing projects and projects teams.
- Experience or desire to work in event-based/micro-service style architecture.
