Role Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to help modernize and support enterprise systems within a federal healthcare setting. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure web applications hosted in the cloud. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the continental United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using .NET technologies, including .NET Framework and .NET Core, along with C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Create accessible front-end interfaces that meet Section 508 compliance standards
- Design and manage backend services and RESTful APIs to support application integrations
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following secure coding practices
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance across development and production environments
- Develop and run unit tests, and support broader automated testing initiatives
- Collaborate with team members using Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Use project management tools like Jira and Confluence for task tracking and documentation
- Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications in cloud environments, with a preference for Azure
- Integrate AI-assisted development tools—such as GitHub Copilot—into daily workflows to enhance coding efficiency and problem-solving
- Implement AI features in applications, including natural language processing, automation, and intelligent APIs
- Use AI-driven solutions to generate test cases, analyze code, and detect defects
- Apply structured prompt engineering techniques to improve development and documentation processes
- Assess and recommend AI tools and frameworks that boost team productivity and software reliability
- Ensure all AI usage follows federal and enterprise security and compliance guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field—equivalent professional experience will be considered
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on full-stack development experience
- Proven expertise in .NET technologies (.NET Framework or .NET Core), ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MS SQL Server
- Experience debugging, testing, and delivering production-ready software
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Azure
- Understanding of secure software development principles
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating AI capabilities using OpenAI, Azure AI, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and development workflows
- Background in automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Azure services such as App Services, Key Vault, and Application Insights
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments
- Exposure to VA systems or federal healthcare IT environments
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and infrastructure-as-code tools
