S&P Global is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Workflow Automation team within the Commodity Insights division. In this role, you will design, architect, and develop scalable workflow automation solutions using low-code/no-code platforms such as Appian and Power Platform, working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and collaborating with technical and product teams to drive digital transformation.
What You'll Do
- Design, architect, and develop highly scalable workflow automation solutions using platforms such as Appian, Power Platform, or similar low-code/no-code technologies
- Serve as a senior developer with hands-on involvement throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Collaborate closely with Development Teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to understand and clarify technical requirements
- Analyze complex technical issues, isolate root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Produce comprehensive system design documents and lead technical walkthroughs with stakeholders
- Champion best practices in governance, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and data security protocols
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience with low-code/no-code platforms such as Appian, Power Platform, or similar workflow automation tools
- 5+ years of experience in application development using Java technologies or similar programming languages
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, database management, data structures, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Experience with web APIs and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, C#, and front-end development technologies
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices
- Knowledge of Financial Industry and Capital Markets software development is highly valued
