Voyant Photonics is transforming machine perception with revolutionary LiDAR devices. We are hiring a Senior Signal Processing Engineer to combine advanced signal processing skills with silicon photonics hardware technology to build a game-changing sensor. You will be involved in the entire development cycle from design and algorithm development to product integration.
What You'll Do
- Develop advanced signal processing algorithms for FMCW LiDAR.
- Design efficient solutions to challenging sensor performance requirements.
- Verify and validate sensor behavior and performance.
- Optimize detection performance, system precision, and system accuracy.
- Work closely with FW and FPGA engineers to implement algorithms on an embedded real-time platform.
- Work with a broad team of optical physicists, electrical engineers, and robotic perception experts to solve multi-disciplinary challenges.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in modern radar or coherent lidar signal processing.
- Demonstrated success in the implementation of analog signal processing and performance characterization in a production environment.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related degree.
Nice to Have
- Experience bringing lasers, photonics, optics, fiber optics, mixed signal electrical, or LiDAR systems to market.
- Computer vision or other image processing experience.
- Experience with end-to-end simulation of lidar and or radar systems.
