DeepL is hiring a Senior Security Engineer to ensure data security for our global platform. As part of the Security Team within the IOPS track, you will work with engineering teams to secure applications, systems, and environments, introducing new components and developing existing infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Proactively find opportunities for security improvements.
- Perform security reviews and advise other teams with security-related questions.
- Recognize threats and triage upcoming vulnerabilities.
- Build solutions to improve the security of our infrastructure, network, and services.
- Automate security processes in the development life cycle.
- Create visibility by onboarding new events into our SIEM.
What We're Looking For
- Several years of experience in a Security Engineer role as a generalist.
- Strong technical understanding of vulnerabilities, threats, and developments in information security.
- Solid scripting, networking, and Linux skills.
- A personal interest in Security topics and engagement in the wider Security community.
- A collaborative and engaging team player who is not shy in introducing their own ideas.
- Interest in learning new technologies.
- Hands-on engineering of automation and creative solutions to emerging problems.
- Fluent communication in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SIEM/SOC/Incident Response topics.
- Experience with Application/Software Security.
- Experience in handling security topics for AI products.
