As a Senior Security Engineer, you will take ownership of designing and deploying robust security measures across mobile, web, and backend platforms. Your work will ensure systems are built with security embedded from the start, aligning with both internal policies and external regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce security controls tailored to mobile apps, web interfaces, and backend services
- Lead threat modelling sessions and conduct thorough risk assessments for new and evolving systems
- Promote secure coding standards across development teams using OWASP guidelines
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate security at every phase of the software development lifecycle
- Identify, prioritize, and resolve security flaws in applications and infrastructure
- Advance DevSecOps practices by embedding automated security checks and tooling
- Advise on secure system architecture and resilient software design patterns
- Support the creation and enforcement of security policies, controls, and engineering benchmarks
- Strengthen application security through proactive code reviews, testing, and design input
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical leadership on securing containerised platforms like Docker and Kubernetes
- Assist in incident response and vulnerability management workflows
Qualifications
You bring at least six years of experience in security engineering, with focused expertise in application security. Required experience includes threat modelling, secure coding aligned with OWASP, and integrating security into DevSecOps pipelines. Hands-on experience securing cloud-native and containerised environments is essential, along with knowledge of cryptography and encryption in practice.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in regulated sectors such as banking or fintech, familiarity with financial security frameworks, and a background securing mobile and modern web applications.
Work Environment
This role operates fully remotely with fixed working hours based on Indian Standard Time. Summer hours are 12:00 PM to 9:30 PM IST, shifting to 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM IST in winter.
