ECS Federal is hiring a Senior Security Engineer to provide comprehensive cybersecurity services on a long-term contract supporting a US Government civilian agency. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Suitland, MD.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop cybersecurity products and hardware, operating systems, and software applications to meet security requirements.
- Design or integrate secure data backup capabilities and ensure protected storage of backup data.
- Develop and direct system testing, validation procedures, and detailed security design documentation.
- Create Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations plans and ensure testing prior to production.
- Develop specific cybersecurity countermeasures and risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify and direct the remediation of technical problems encountered during testing and implementation.
- Identify, assess, and recommend cybersecurity products for use within systems.
- Implement security designs for new or existing systems and incorporate vulnerability solutions into designs.
- Perform risk analysis for major system changes and security reviews to identify gaps in architecture.
- Design, implement, test, and evaluate secure interfaces between information systems, physical systems, and embedded technologies.
- Design, develop, integrate, and update system security measures that ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
- Verify stability, interoperability, portability, and scalability of system architecture.
- Trace system requirements to design components and perform gap analysis.
- Develop mitigation strategies to address cost, schedule, performance, and security risks.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $156,000 - $180,000.
