What You'll Do
Lead the development of comprehensive security strategies from concept through to construction documentation, ensuring solutions are tailored to client needs and aligned with project goals. Design integrated systems covering access control, intrusion detection, surveillance, and network infrastructure, incorporating artificial intelligence where applicable.
Evaluate site-specific risks and apply defense-in-depth and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles to develop layered protection strategies. Use hard and soft landscaping, street furniture, and architectural elements to enhance physical security resilience.
Produce detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD and BIM (Level of Development 300), coordinating with drafting teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. Calculate bandwidth, storage, power, and thermal loads to support system performance and sustainability.
Prepare and deliver client presentations that clearly communicate security objectives, proposed systems, and compliance with regional standards. Author detailed proposals outlining scope, timelines, budgets, and expected outcomes, and present them to stakeholders for approval.
Oversee end-to-end project execution, including scheduling, financial tracking, and cross-disciplinary coordination to ensure seamless integration of security into broader project designs. Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in security studies, security management, or possess recognized industry certifications such as CPP, CSC, or PSP
- Have at least 10 years of direct experience in security system design, layout planning, equipment room configuration, and environmental security integration
- Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Possess advanced skills in writing precise technical specifications, proposals, and security documentation
- Show proven ability to manage project finances, timelines, and deliverables independently
- Be prepared to travel across the Middle East as project demands require
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on hospitality venues, high-rise buildings, shopping centers, community facilities, airports, rail, and metro systems
- Familiarity with UAE's SIRA regulations and Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior security requirements
Technical Stack
Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM for design development; working knowledge of networking, access control, perimeter and intrusion detection systems, intercommunication, video surveillance, and AI-enabled technologies. Ability to perform technical calculations for bandwidth, data storage, and power/heat load is essential.
