About the Role

NVIDIA is looking for a Senior SBIOS Firmware Engineer to design and deliver innovations for managing GPU-based AI servers, focusing on out-of-band management, firmware, and enterprise server architecture. What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and deliver firmware innovations for managing GPU-based AI servers with a focus on OOB management, server architecture, and enterprise systems.
  • Work with a global team of BIOS developers on NVIDIA server designs.
  • Design and develop performance-optimized UEFI/BIOS solutions using industry standards.
  • Instrument code for maximum coverage, write and automate unit tests for each module, and maintain detailed test reports.
  • Provide software quality reports based on static analysis, code coverage, and CPU load.
  • Work with the security team to ensure code aligns with product security goals.
  • Partner closely with hardware teams to influence hardware design and review architecture and schematics.
  • Work with QA/Test architects to develop proper test tools and automation for the full system software and firmware stack.

What We're Looking For

  • Domain expertise in System BIOS (UEFI) Firmware development on X86 or ARM platforms.
  • Strong experience with EDK2 Firmware architecture.
  • Solid experience in the end-to-end delivery of high-end enterprise servers from definition to customer deployment.
  • Solid understanding of low-level interfaces between SBIOS, BMC, and OS like I2C, SPI, PCIe, and JTAG.
  • Understanding of PCIe enumeration and IO at the platform level for enterprise systems.
  • Strong experience with RAS.
  • Experience working closely with HW teams, ODMs, and vendors to introduce and support server platforms.
  • Experience with C/C++ development, bash/python for scripting, and debugging skills in embedded Linux environments.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, good work ethics, and a high sense of teamwork.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of experience with a demonstrated strong ability as an individual contributor.

  • A proven record in delivering system BIOS design on servers.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary range: $184,000 - $287,500 USD for Level 4, and $224,000 - $356,500 USD for Level 5.
  • Eligible for equity.
