About the Role

The role involves leading cost management activities for construction projects, preparing tender documentation, conducting cost estimates, and advising on contractual matters to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of project tenders and bids
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for construction activities
  • Monitor project expenditures and track budget performance
  • Prepare and review contractual agreements and terms
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and costs
  • Advise on risk management related to project finances
  • Support change management processes for project variations
  • Negotiate with contractors and suppliers on pricing
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Produce cost reports for stakeholders and management
  • Manage final account reconciliations upon project completion
  • Assist in dispute resolution related to contracts
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams on cost implications
  • Evaluate contractor claims and validate their accuracy
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Utilize cost management software and tools effectively
  • Provide input during project planning phases
  • Review design documentation for cost optimization
  • Support value engineering initiatives
  • Ensure timely submission of financial documentation
  • Monitor subcontractor performance against financial benchmarks
  • Assist in forecasting future project costs
  • Maintain accurate records of all cost-related decisions
  • Contribute to post-project cost reviews
  • Promote cost efficiency across project lifecycles
