About the Role

Moog is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to plan and execute quality processes that meet contractual requirements and protect both the company and its customers. You'll have a measurable impact on business performance by promoting the highest standards of quality for complex hardware.

What You'll Do

  • Be responsible for quality success on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality-related decisions for customers.
  • Lead Moog support of Customer & Government (DCMA) inspections, customer audits, and requirements.
  • Improve production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes, and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams through problem-solving activities including failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support configuration control, and traceability.
  • Teach Quality personnel on the process of reviewing and preparing End Item Data packs for customer source inspections or shipment.
  • Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.
  • Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root cause and corrective action.
  • Improve cost for inspection and prevent cost due to failure through statistical analysis and problem solving.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent STEM.
  • 8 years of professional work experience in Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with statistical, spreadsheet, and database software packages.
