Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Senior QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications. You will own testing processes from planning to execution, collaborating closely with product, development, and design teams in an agile environment to validate performance and user experience.
What You'll Do
- Design, write, and execute detailed manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end automated UI tests for consistent and reliable validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and understand expected product behavior.
- Maintain and update test plans, test suites, and documentation using tools like Xray or TestRail.
- Conduct regression, exploratory, and usability testing during release cycles and continuous integration.
- Design and execute performance and load testing to assess scalability and identify bottlenecks.
- Identify risks, edge cases, and quality issues early in the development process.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure proper setup of test environments and data for repeatable execution.
- Provide feedback on product requirements and designs from a testability perspective.
- Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and overall quality culture.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in QA engineering or software testing.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Proven experience testing web and mobile applications (iOS/Android).
- Hands-on experience with UI test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with browser developer tools, REST APIs, and network debugging.
- Proficiency with test case management tools such as Xray or TestRail.
- Experience with bug tracking (e.g., Jira), CI tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and test reporting dashboards.
- Understanding of version control systems like Git.
- Advanced English level for effective communication with US-based clients.
