About the Role

Apex Companies, a leading national environmental consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer, Water-Wastewater to join our growing engineering team. You will provide critical technical support specializing in the permitting and design of wastewater, drinking water, and stormwater infrastructure, working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry.

What You'll Do

  • Provide engineering technical support for team projects in water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Conduct engineering design tasks, including calculations, permitting, and inspections for water and wastewater projects.
  • Analyze and implement state and federal regulations governing water and wastewater systems.
  • Supervise permit application preparation, oversee project operations, and generate comprehensive technical reports.
  • Conduct field site visits to evaluate current and future construction limitations.
  • Collaborate in identifying and addressing project-related safety concerns.
  • Engage in Site Civil Engineering, including site assessment, erosion control, SWPPP development, grading, and materials design.
  • Develop specifications and formulate plans for site civil work.

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed Professional Engineer with project management skills and 8 to 10 years of engineering experience.
  • A valid driver’s license, good driving history, and reliable transportation.
  • Familiarity with water treatment for surface and groundwater sources, including precipitation/settling, chlorination, filtration, ion exchange, membrane treatment, and the design of support operations for storage and distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with wastewater collection and treatment systems including solids separation, extended aeration, MLE, SBR, MBBR, and MBR, as well as storage, transmission, and disinfection systems.
  • Experience interpreting and applying regulatory requirements, project coordination, client interaction, construction project management, estimating, and scope writing.
  • Proficient with the MS Office suite and Adobe.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with effluent disposal and soil assessment.

This role is hybrid and can be based out of our offices in Dallas, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, Tulsa, OK, or Wichita, KS.
