Migaku is hiring a Senior Product Designer (Growth) to evolve our innovative software suite into a more refined and powerful experience. Your mission is to help dramatically expand our user base by mastering the psychology of user activation and retention, creating designs that are both highly useful and emotionally resonant.

What You'll Do

Design sleek, premium language learning software with a core focus on driving growth, activation, and user retention.
Create UI that feels lightweight and fast, avoiding heavy or slow user experiences.
Use visual information and design to emotionally hook users at key moments, advancing them through the user funnel.
Continuously gather and integrate feedback from the community to address real-world user needs.
Build expertise in both power-user and beginner needs to design effectively for a broad audience.
Evolve and improve brand design in tandem with product development.
Refuse compromises on engaging, immersive design where it counts, while employing calm and reduced UI where appropriate.
Test concepts with low-fidelity designs first, then develop polished versions based on findings.
Master typography to create joyful reading experiences within dense interfaces.
Balance design instincts with data-driven insights.
Collaborate with and lead internal and external design resources, such as illustrators.

What We're Looking For

A proven track record designing high-engagement, lightweight software that has received significant critical acclaim.
A strong understanding of the components that make for impactful copywriting.

Nice to Have

An understanding of the ingredients of effective branding.
Personal, hardcore experience as a language learner.
The ability to identify top talent (e.g., designers and illustrators on social media) and help onboard them part-time or full-time.
