About the Role
This position leads technical engagement during the sales cycle, translating customer requirements into scalable system designs and providing engineering expertise to close enterprise deals.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise customers to identify operational needs and challenges
- Design customized system solutions aligned with client specifications and infrastructure
- Deliver product demonstrations and proof-of-concept deployments for prospective clients
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop competitive proposals and technical responses
- Analyze customer environments to ensure compatibility with proposed systems
- Provide engineering input for pricing and configuration strategies
- Support RFP and RFQ processes with detailed technical documentation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications and performance data
- Coordinate with product teams to relay field insights and customer feedback
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in system designs
- Troubleshoot pre-deployment technical issues and configuration conflicts
- Assist in the development of sales tools and technical training materials
- Present technical value propositions to customer engineering and operations teams
- Track and report on pre-sales activity metrics and engagement outcomes
- Work cross-functionally with service and installation teams for smooth handoffs
- Advocate for customer needs during product development discussions
- Stay current with emerging technologies and competitive offerings
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and customer workshops
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems for all technical engagements
- Support contract negotiations with technical clarifications and scope definitions
- Evaluate third-party integrations and compatibility requirements
- Develop system performance models and capacity planning estimates
- Conduct post-sale debriefs to improve future pre-sales processes
- Mentor junior engineers on technical sales methodologies
- Ensure documentation accuracy for configurations, schematics, and submittals
