Turquoise Health is hiring a Senior Platform Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the platform's underlying infrastructure
  • Design and maintain systems for high reliability and uptime
  • Implement and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
  • Influence and help define the long-term direction of the platform

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles
  • At least 2 years in a senior position with demonstrated success in building and maintaining large-scale production systems
  • Strong working knowledge of core AWS services including VPC, IAM, EKS, and RDS, with solid grasp of cloud networking and security
  • Proven expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Crossplane
  • Extensive experience using GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD and automation, beyond basic source control
  • Production experience managing Kubernetes clusters and deploying applications via GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux using Helm Charts
  • Skilled in observability platforms like Datadog, Sentry, CloudWatch, or Grafana, including setting up alerts, dashboards, and log processing
  • Proficient in writing robust Python scripts to automate workflows and integrate systems
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, ask clarifying questions, and maintain progress without close supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
