About the Role
The role involves leading cloud architecture and engineering efforts on AWS GovCloud platforms, ensuring systems meet strict security and compliance requirements for government operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable infrastructure on AWS GovCloud environments
- Implement automated provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code
- Ensure cloud systems comply with federal security standards including FedRAMP and NIST
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability remediation on cloud resources
- Support accreditation and authorization processes for government systems
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate secure cloud services
- Monitor system performance and optimize cloud resource utilization
- Respond to security incidents and support forensic investigations
- Maintain documentation for system architecture and operational procedures
- Lead technical reviews and provide guidance on cloud best practices
- Integrate identity and access management with existing federal identity systems
- Develop backup, recovery, and disaster resilience strategies
- Enforce network segmentation and zero-trust security models
- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues
- Stay current with evolving AWS services and government compliance requirements
Nice to Have
- Experience with DoD Impact Level 5 or higher systems
- Knowledge of government audit processes and ATO documentation
- Familiarity with zero-trust architecture principles
- Experience with cross-domain solutions
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes in air-gapped environments

Security Requirements
- Applicant must currently hold or be eligible for a Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access

- Systems operate at DoD IL-5 compliance level
