Employment Hero is looking for a Senior Motion Designer to join our in-house creative agency, Hero Collective. In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting high-impact motion and video content that supports our global markets in the UK, APAC, and Canada, guiding projects from concept to delivery, mentoring junior creatives, and integrating AI into our creative processes.
What You'll Do
- Craft emotive stories through motion and film, guiding project direction and ensuring creative excellence across multiple projects.
- Create motion that connects with thoughtful animation, transitions, and motion design to evolve the visual language of the brand.
- Use AI tools like Veo3, Runway, Sora, Midjourney, Pika, or ElevenLabs to unlock new creative possibilities and champion new tools across the team.
- Storyboard and plan with intent, mapping out sequences and explaining thinking clearly to creatives and non-creatives.
- Collaborate professionally in a remote-first, async environment, keeping projects moving across time zones.
- Push the brand by helping evolve the brand toolkit and suggesting fresh visual takes.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in video, motion, or creative roles within an agency or in-house environment.
- A strong folio and reel with sharp editing, motion design, and storytelling.
- Deep experience with social-first video, campaign edits, and product explainers.
- Comfortable working across platforms like TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and paid social.
- Confident with tools like After Effects, Premiere Pro, CapCut, Runway, and similar.
- Actively exploring AI platforms like Veo 3, Sora, Runway, or Pika as part of your creative process.
- A natural leader who enjoys mentoring and helping team members grow.
- Strong sense of pacing, flow, and visual taste.
- Detail-obsessed but never lose sight of the big picture.
- Curious, proactive, and always experimenting with new ways to make the work better.
Nice to Have
- Can design stills or assets in Figma or Adobe CC.
- Have built motion systems, templates, or scalable creative workflows.
- Know your way around voiceover, audio mixing, or sound design.
- Comfortable with Slack, Asana, Hubspot, Canva, Google Slides.
- Can confidently storyboard and pitch concepts.
- Understand the performance side of creative and what makes content convert.
