About the Role
Lead the clinical development strategy and execution for neuroscience programs, ensuring scientific rigor, regulatory compliance, and alignment with overall therapeutic area goals.
Responsibilities
- Direct the development and implementation of clinical strategies for neuroscience indications
- Oversee the design and conduct of early and late-phase clinical trials
- Serve as a key medical and scientific liaison across multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure clinical protocols are grounded in strong mechanistic and disease rationale
- Collaborate with regulatory experts to prepare submissions and responses
- Analyze and interpret clinical data to inform go/no-go decisions
- Provide medical input into safety monitoring and risk management plans
- Guide the integration of biomarkers and pharmacodynamic endpoints
- Work closely with translational sciences to align preclinical and clinical insights
- Lead interactions with external experts and key opinion leaders
- Support investigator-sponsored trials and external collaborations
- Contribute to clinical sections of regulatory documents
- Monitor trial progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
- Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards in all clinical activities
- Mentor clinical development and medical affairs team members
- Represent clinical development in cross-functional governance forums
- Evaluate emerging scientific and clinical data to adapt development plans
- Collaborate with statistics and data management for trial design and analysis
- Oversee medical monitoring aspects in coordination with safety teams
- Drive the development of clinical study reports and publications
- Assist in portfolio planning and pipeline prioritization
- Engage with business development on scientific due diligence
- Ensure alignment of clinical strategy with commercial and regulatory landscapes
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and patient focus
- Stay current with advances in neuroscience and targeted therapeutics
