CoolGames is hiring a Senior Manual QA Engineer (remote, full time)

CoolGames is hiring a Senior Manual QA Engineer to play a key role in our agile, multidisciplinary game development team. You will contribute to the entire lifecycle of HTML5 casual game development, from inception to live maintenance, championing the delivery of high-quality products.

What You'll Do

• Perform manual black box testing of our games.
• Identify, document, and track project issues.
• Evaluate user experience, gameplay mechanics, graphics, and audio to ensure a seamless gaming experience.
• Participate in planning and executing QA activities throughout all phases of the sprint lifecycle.
• Review and analyze game design documents and functional specifications.
• Create test documentation, including traceability matrices, test cases, checklists, and test reports.
• Facilitate smooth releases and collaborate effectively with the development team.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve product quality and the overall game experience.

What We're Looking For

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in software testing.
• A methodical, scientific, and analytical mindset.
• Expertise in test design techniques and their practical application.
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Strong knowledge of testing types and their applicability.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, processes, and tools.
• Experience testing on multiple platforms (mobile, desktop, web, social platforms).
• Experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking software.
• Experience with TestRail or similar test management software.
• Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in project requirements.
• Ability to work your shifts (mostly) in concurrence with the rest of the team.

Nice to Have

• Gamedev experience is a strong plus.
• Certifications like ISTQB are a strong plus.
