Boeing Australia is hiring a Senior Manager - State and Local Government Operations

About the Role

The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Manager - State and Local Government Operations to manage government relations and advocate for the company's business interests across the Eastern Region. This role is responsible for Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Ohio, focusing on building strategic relationships and leading impactful campaigns.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate and implement campaigns to advocate the company's business interests, including analysis of laws and regulations and coordination with government and industry officials.
  • Plan and lead political and community organizing activities for Boeing.
  • Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide oversight and approval of government relations activities and processes.
  • Develop and execute regional legislative plans and create business cases to support program continuation.
  • Develop close relationships with the Boeing Global Engagement team to leverage community impact.
  • Represent the company as directed across the region, including in public settings such as Boeing-sponsored community events.
  • Support company policies regarding ethical behavior, security, time charging, and use of company property.
  • Develop strong working relationships with state and local elected officials in the region.
  • Support the needs of Boeing facilities and property.
  • Travel and work inconsistent hours as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience in government relations or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in politics, campaigns, public affairs, and/or issue advocacy.
  • 5+ years of experience multi-tasking and working in a team environment.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.

  • A strong passion for politics, public policy, political science, or related fields.
