Role Overview
This position serves as a key security advisor within the Enterprise Platform organization, providing strategic guidance on information security initiatives and risk mitigation. You will work closely with technology and business units to embed security into the development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and architectural best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary security liaison for the Enterprise Platform team, delivering proactive consulting across infrastructure, data protection, network design, and access controls
- Advise on secure architecture and development practices, promoting early integration of security in software delivery
- Assess and manage cybersecurity risks, escalating critical findings and supporting remediation efforts
- Provide expert insight on identity and access management, authentication protocols, and authorization frameworks
- Deliver timely updates to leadership on the security posture and evolving risk landscape
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to anticipate security needs in alignment with strategic goals
- Support urgent security initiatives and emerging topics impacting enterprise operations
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 8 years in cybersecurity or information technology roles
- At least 7 years of experience guiding teams on security principles and risk management
- Proven background in security risk assessments, architecture reviews, and secure design practices
- Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and software development
- Minimum of 5 years focused on cloud security engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience securing public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Background in identity and access management (IAM) and related technologies
- Hands-on experience developing or deploying applications in cloud platforms
- Familiarity with cloud patching, image management, and system rehydration
- Agile methodology experience
- Knowledge of software security architecture, threat modeling, and penetration testing
- Experience integrating SaaS solutions and securing containerized services
- Proficiency with Splunk or enterprise monitoring tools
- Background in financial services or regulated industries
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Understanding of offensive and defensive security techniques
- Strong communication, influence, and conceptual thinking abilities
Technical Environment
Work spans cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure, with focus on IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, API management, container services, security controls, and enterprise monitoring via Splunk.

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, California, requiring a combination of on-site and remote work.
Compensation
Salary range for this position in San Francisco is $243,800 to $278,200. Equity and additional compensation elements are not disclosed.
