About the Role

Capgemini is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join as a consultant. You will work directly with a major automotive client to design and deliver end-to-end ML solutions and AI products that improve safety, efficiency, and customer experience across their global operations.

What You'll Do

  • Translate complex business challenges into well-defined ML problems, define success metrics, and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Own the full ML/AI product lifecycle, including designing, building, deploying, and operating production-grade systems with CI/CD, monitoring, versioning, and observability.
  • Monitor and optimize model performance by tracking drift, evaluating results, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify when models need updates or redesign.
  • Collaborate and uplift others through knowledge sharing, mentoring, code reviews, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong applied Machine Learning & Data Science expertise, including statistics, experimentation, feature engineering, drift detection, classification, anomaly detection, reinforcement learning, NLP, explainable AI, and risk/fraud modelling.
  • Solid Engineering & MLOps skills with proficiency in Azure, Databricks, Python, SQL, Git, and modern MLOps practices like Azure Pipelines, Databricks Jobs, observability, and Docker.
  • A collaborative, adaptive, and impact-driven mindset that combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, clear communication, and the ability to contribute positively to a culture of trust and curiosity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) for text analysis.
  • Domain knowledge in automotive or vehicle data, or in quality and warranty analytics.
