MLabs is looking for a Senior L2 Engineer to contribute to the design and development of Layer-2 scaling solutions within a custom blockchain ecosystem supporting enterprise-grade financial systems. You will work on rollup mechanisms, transaction batching, cross-layer communication, and performance optimization between Layer-1 and Layer-2 environments.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement Layer-2 scaling components
- Contribute to rollup architecture and transaction batching logic
- Develop cross-layer communication and bridging mechanisms
- Optimize throughput and latency across blockchain layers
- Ensure correctness and security of L2 state transitions
- Collaborate with protocol, smart contract, and infrastructure teams
- Participate in architecture discussions and performance reviews
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong understanding of blockchain architecture
- Experience working on Layer-2 solutions (rollups, sidechains, scaling infrastructure)
- Proficiency in Rust, Go, or similar systems-level language
- Strong understanding of state machines and transaction lifecycle
- Experience working in performance-sensitive distributed systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with optimistic or zk-rollups
- Experience with cross-chain messaging or bridging systems
- Experience collaborating with Layer-1 protocol teams
- Experience in fintech or regulated environments
- Experience working in distributed remote teams
