Avint is looking for a Senior ISSO (Cybersecurity Compliance Lead / RMF SME) to join our team supporting the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) Headquarters. You will be part of a high-performing team focused on protecting critical federal systems within the HACS program, leading Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) efforts across mission-critical systems. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, compliance, and mission operations, ensuring systems are secure, authorized, and aligned with federal requirements.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and the achievement of Authority to Operate (ATO) for mission-critical federal systems.
- Oversee cybersecurity compliance efforts across multiple systems within the HACS program at FRTIB HQ.
- Develop and maintain key security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and Security Assessment Reports (SAR).
- Ensure systems continuously meet federal cybersecurity requirements and operate with proper security authorizations.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or compliance.
- Extensive, hands-on experience with NIST RMF, ATO processes, and system authorization.
- Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks and the documentation required (SSP, POA&M, SAR).
- Proven experience leading or overseeing security efforts across multiple systems.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant work experience.
