About the Role
This role involves building and maintaining scalable systems that power a visual web development platform. The engineer will lead improvements in performance, security, and operational resilience while collaborating across engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement distributed systems for high availability and low latency
- Own the reliability and performance of core backend services
- Develop automation tools to streamline deployment and operations
- Collaborate with product teams to support scalable architecture patterns
- Monitor system health and respond to incidents proactively
- Improve observability across services with metrics, logging, and tracing
- Enforce security best practices in infrastructure and deployment pipelines
- Optimize cloud resource usage for cost efficiency
- Lead incident response and conduct post-mortem analyses
- Contribute to on-call rotations for critical systems
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve platform capabilities
- Document system designs and operational procedures
- Mentor engineers on infrastructure best practices
- Support migration of legacy systems to modern architectures
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy standards
- Work closely with security teams to address vulnerabilities
- Build self-service tools for internal development teams
- Maintain infrastructure as code using modern configuration management
- Scale systems to meet growing user demand
- Participate in architectural reviews and system design discussions
