Julius Baer is hiring a Senior FX/PM Options Trader to cover the New York trading shift from our Zurich office. You will join a globally integrated team responsible for managing risk and executing trading strategies across the FX and Precious Metals (PM) OTC options desks during late Zurich hours.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the FX/PM options books during New York trading hours.
- Provide accurate and competitive pricing for client-driven trades in FX and PM options, including vanilla, exotic, and structured products.
- Execute PM Comex futures and options trades as part of overall hedging strategies.
- Monitor trade lifecycles, including barrier events and expiries.
- Ensure effective handover and collaboration with trading between the global centers.
- Monitor global market developments, economic data releases, and geopolitical events.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external counterparties, brokers, and liquidity providers.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in FX and PM options trading with a major financial institution.
- Demonstrable success in P&L generation, hedging strategies, and real-time risk management.
- Direct experience in CME (Comex) futures and options trading, particularly in gold and silver contracts.
- Good understanding of volatility surfaces, skew dynamics, and pricing models for both vanilla and exotic structures.
- Analytical abilities and comfort managing multiple correlated risks under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively across regions and functions.
- Fluent in English.
