CHECK24 Vergleichsportal Verbraucherdienstleistungen Österreich GmbH is looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer. You will take responsibility for the entire software lifecycle for our credit card comparison platform, from design to monitoring, while integrating complex third-party systems like banks. You'll join a team combining start-up flair with the security of a large company.
What You'll Do
- Conceive and develop innovative services for our credit card comparison platform.
- Own the full software lifecycle: from design and implementation through deployment to monitoring.
- Work across the entire tech stack – from frontend (React) to backend (Spring Boot) to databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and platform components.
- Integrate complex third-party systems, including banks and communication service providers.
- Translate business requirements with product owners into sustainable technical solutions.
- Support colleagues through constructive code reviews, establishing best practices, and active knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For
- A completed degree in computer science, natural sciences, or a comparable technical field.
- At least five years of professional experience in software development.
- Solid expertise in developing Spring Boot microservices and modern React frontends.
- Very good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and Docker.
- Deep understanding of software architecture and secure handling of clean code principles.
- Very good English skills (min. C1) and secure German skills (min. B2) in speech and writing.
Nice to Have
- Professional experience in agile development environments.
- Enthusiasm for new technologies, a pronounced hands-on mentality, and a high sense of responsibility beyond just code commits.
