Valtech is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer passionate about experience innovation to push boundaries and make a lasting impact. You will be part of a team building e-commerce solutions for clients, working in agile, cross-functional global teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
What You'll Do
- Be part of the team building e-commerce solutions for clients handling scaling, resilience, and performance challenges.
- Work in an agile way in cross-functional global teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Develop innovative approaches for displaying rich datasets to users in an easy-to-use, intuitive way.
- Develop features, take part in the estimation process, conduct code reviews, and assist less senior developers.
- Develop expertise both in technology and the means to communicate complex concepts and rationale to non-techies.
What We're Looking For
- Expertise in HTML5/CSS3, including preprocessors like LESS/SASS, and methodologies such as BEM.
- 5+ years experience with React.js.
- Strong experience with Next.js.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES5+) and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience consuming REST APIs.
- Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Awareness of SEO standards and how they apply to front-end development.
- Familiarity with unit testing and related testing frameworks.
- Proven ability to work effectively in Agile and Scrum methodologies within cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills with a high sense of accountability.
- Advanced level of English proficiency.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Azure cloud services.
- Exposure to Node.js development.
- Familiarity with Commercetools or other headless commerce platforms.
- Interest or experience in modern front-end tools and processes.
