About the Role
This role is central to the shared services engineering team, focused on delivering frontend solutions for a suite of omnichannel retail brands. The engineer will help accelerate the rollout of a unified platform by shipping clean, performant code at scale, using React and TypeScript, while incorporating AI tools to amplify impact. Success after six months includes owning major features, delivering measurable improvements in performance or UX, and elevating team capabilities through mentorship and collaboration. The position demands independent ownership, rapid execution, and full accountability across the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-quality, testable web applications using React, TypeScript, and current frontend technologies.
- Evaluate and adopt AI-powered development tools to boost engineering efficiency and enrich user interactions across brand platforms.
- Implement new functionality and refine existing features in a fast-moving, agile setting spanning multiple retail brands.
- Lead code reviews, offer actionable feedback, and guide less experienced developers in coding standards and best practices.
- Develop and sustain automated testing, including unit and integration tests, to ensure software robustness and maintainability.
- Keep informed on emerging frontend trends, architectural patterns, and AI-based development tools, sharing knowledge with the team.

About the Role
As our Senior Front End Engineer, you will be a key contributor on CSC Generation's shared services engineering team, building the frontend experiences that power our portfolio of omnichannel retail brands. This role exists because we are accelerating the development of Genesis — our unified operating platform — and need engineers who can ship fast, write clean code, and raise the bar on quality across a complex, multi-brand environment. You will partner closely with product, design, and backend engineering to deliver React- and TypeScript-based web applications at scale, integrating AI-driven tooling into your workflow as a force multiplier. At six months, success looks like owning significant feature areas end-to-end, having shipped measurable improvements to performance or user experience, and actively leveling up the engineers around you through code review and mentorship. This is a lean team. You will own a lot, move fast, and make decisions with full end-to-end responsibility.
