Vancity is hiring a Senior Financial Systems Analyst

About the Role

Vancity is looking for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to play a critical role in ensuring the administration and performance of our finance systems. As a member-owned credit union built on inclusion and social justice, we are looking for someone to collaborate with finance and IT teams to maintain system integrity, optimize processes, and ensure accurate data for financial reporting and analysis.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with IT Solutions to maintain system performance, software licenses, and version updates
  • Administer finance systems by managing user provisioning, access reviews, and account creation
  • Monitor system performance metrics and escalate issues for timely resolution
  • Upload month-end ancillary system data, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts into accounting systems and verify accuracy
  • Perform year-end ancillary system close and roll forward
  • Support finance teams by creating standardized templates to drive accuracy and consistency
  • Conduct ad hoc investigations and data analysis using SQL queries and other tools
  • Assist with annual financial statement audits by gathering and analyzing requested data
  • Provide recommendations for system optimization and collaborate on upgrades or integrations

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial systems administration or a similar technical role
  • Proven experience with system migrations, integrations, and upgrades
  • Expertise in reporting tools and data analysis techniques, including SQL and Power BI
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Salary range: $71,500 to $107,300
