Solenis is hiring a Senior Equipment Project Engineer to join our Development Engineering team. In this role, you'll drive global development projects with a focus on Packaging and Dosing and Dispensing Equipment, serving as a technical lead on cross-functional teams. You'll also play a key part in data analysis efforts critical to achieving our Sustainability objectives.
What You'll Do
- Support the project prioritization process by estimating resource requirements.
- Take a structured approach to projects, planning activities to anticipate and minimize disruption.
- Act as a mentor to junior team members, supporting their prioritization and project tracking.
- Provide technical expertise in Packaging and Dosing, Dilution, and Dispensing Equipment for R&D projects.
- Determine viable solutions to technical problems, including designing new solutions.
- Operate as a senior team member by completing and maintaining drawings and document packages in multiple databases and our PLM system.
- Maintain technical expertise to coach junior team members.
- Advise R&D management on technical issues and recommend paths forward.
- Build and maintain application knowledge of the Diversey Global Dosing, Dilution and Dispensing product portfolio and its interaction with packaging types.
- Communicate technical issues to diverse audiences clearly and concisely.
- Liaise with suppliers alongside the Quality function to resolve issues.
- Document issues and resolutions to integrate learnings into future developments.
- Operate within the QMS and contribute to its development for the broader group.
- Work with vendors to align documentation processes and ensure consistent, complete document packages.
- Provide input to maintain the quality of processes and tools like the PLM system and equipment document database in SolidWorks.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Engineering (ME, PackagingE, ChemE).
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of packaging development.
- Understanding of design for injection molding.
- Good understanding of sustainability and recycled materials.
- Ability to work with data, specifically packaging data for sustainability purposes.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working within a design team in packaging and equipment development and manufacturing.
- Knowledge of documentation and specification management within a PLM system.
- Familiarity with Design for Lean Six Sigma tools, such as FMEA's and Design of Experiment.
- Good CAD skills, including proficiency in 3D SolidWorks.

- A Master's degree is preferred.
