We are seeking a Senior Environment Generalist to play a key role in building detailed and visually compelling digital environments for high-end visual effects. This position bridges art and technology, contributing to the development of complex 3D scenes from concept to final render.
Responsibilities
- Design and construct realistic 3D environments using a combination of modeling, texturing, and layout techniques
- Collaborate with leads and artists to align environment work with project vision and technical requirements
- Optimize assets for performance in both rendering and real-time workflows
- Integrate and manage digital assets within the production pipeline efficiently
- Ensure consistency and quality across environment elements, adhering to production standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in environment creation for film or episodic content
- Strong proficiency in 3D software such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Houdini
- Solid understanding of lighting, composition, and surface materials in a virtual context
- Experience troubleshooting technical challenges related to asset complexity and scene integration
- Ability to lead by example, providing guidance to junior artists when needed
