Vodafone is looking for a Senior Enterprise Device Engineer to join our mission to shape the future of connectivity. In this role, you will handle enterprise software engineering design and homologation tests on devices like CPEs and IP Phones, ensuring their integration, delivery, and cyber security compliance across European markets.
What You'll Do
- Configure and maintain the test environment for integration and hardware/firmware validation of CPEs, modems, and routers.
- Plan and execute all Functional, Interoperability & Performance Technical detailed testing.
- Correspond with CPE vendors, Group Network, and functional departments on handling technical issues during homologation and trials.
- Conduct feasibility study, development, testing, acceptance, and implementation of Enterprise CPEs for Business Customers.
- Interface with local market teams (Sales, VBTS, Product) to perform feasibility assessments of network impact for new service requests.
- Manage enterprise customer devices (CPE, IP Phone, dedicated routers) integration and delivery in European markets.
- Provide technical support to negotiate with suppliers and internal functions for effective delivery.
- Participate in Lab or Field trials and tests as part of the CPE homologation process.
What We're Looking For
- A university degree, preferably in computer science, telecommunications, or an equivalent field.
- Six years of experience in the Telecommunications sector.
- Very good knowledge of Enterprise CPEs from main vendors.
- Good understanding of Access and IP Routing technologies.
- Understanding of Security considerations and market solutions.
- Very good communication skills and the ability to work within virtual teams.
- Ability to interface with multi-national clients.
- A strong results-oriented and customer-focused mentality.
- Process & project management skills.
- Good knowledge of the overall network architecture across all domains.
- Stakeholder management skills.
