n8n is seeking a Senior Engineer I-II to join our Core Workflow Engine team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the high-performance engine that executes thousands of workflows for our users.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and optimize the core workflow execution engine
- Implement robust and scalable solutions for complex workflow logic
- Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to architectural decisions
- Collaborate on performance improvements and reliability features
- Participate in code reviews and uphold high engineering standards
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior engineering role building complex backend systems
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern software engineering practices
- Deep understanding of system design, algorithms, and performance optimization
- Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and asynchronous programming
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a product-focused mindset
