Coty seeks a Senior Engineer, Control Systems to assist with all aspects of machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdowns. You will proactively manage engineers regarding preventative maintenance scheduling and support the smooth running of operations.
What You'll Do
- Proactively develop knowledge of manufacturing and production packing processes, filling and finishing techniques, and industrialisation processes.
- Collect and analyse data, ensuring it is used to support day-to-day work and influence improvements in ways of working.
- Provide technical/functional expertise in your specific area of engineering when required.
- Ensure robust and effective Risk Assessment protocols in line with company standards and processes.
- Take an active part in team meetings to determine and agree consistent working methods.
- Take responsibility for reporting defective components and assist with or undertake root cause investigations.
- Assist with the machine risk assessment review programme for all assets.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained as per scheduled plan and new equipment/tooling guarantees all products meet the required quality specification.
- Work with the New Product Development team, Cell Managers, and Process Engineers to support new product introductions, helping to identify new equipment and tooling requirements.
- Support work to ensure equipment/parts standardisation.
- Manage day-to-day allocation of tasks to shift engineers, ensuring prioritisation of work and completion against schedule.
- Effectively manage maintenance to maximise productivity and reduce downtime.
- Manage tooling requirements for new product launches.
- Identify productivity and cost saving opportunities, and support capital projects.
- Seek out and share new innovative technologies to fulfil the requirements of the site.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role in a continuous production process.
- Filling and packaging machinery knowledge.
- Good knowledge and understanding of PLC Siemens and PLC Omron software language.
